Department of Scientific and Industrial Research - Forest Products Research Bulletin No. 31: Prevention of Decay of Wood in Boats, by J. G. Savory and D. F. Packman (London, Her Majesty's Stationery Office, 1954 - reprinted with minor amendments, 1961). This booklet, consisting of 20 pages plus green paper cover, measures approximately 15.2 x 24.3cm (6 x 9.55in). The cover is worn, marked, stained and creased, and the inside back cover and one page have been written on; the pages are yellowed, creased, foxed and stained; the edges are bumped and corners creased throughout, and the original staples have rusted - a new staple has been inserted between them to hold the pages together. In spite of its condition, however, it remains a fair reading copy of this scarce booklet.
