A carnival glass compote by Imperial, c.1910-30, in "Scroll Embossed" pattern, with octagonal foot and "Eastern Star" pattern to exterior, marigold in colour, measuring approximately 15.7cm (6.2in) across at the top, 8.7cm (3.45in) across at the foot and 11.8cm (4.65in) deep. The stem of the compote leans at an angle (see photo), whilst the four-sided pattern of the interior is not properly aligned with the six-sided pattern of the exterior. The iridescence is somewhat patchy, perhaps worn, whilst there are some small chips and rough edges to the foot, and some small air bubbles, lines and other small manufacturing irregularities.
