Imitation tortoiseshell Xylonite clothes brush in original box, c.1930s

A c.1930s Xylonite celluloid imitation tortoiseshell clothes brush, measuring approximately 17.2cm (6.75in) long, in its original box, the (very moth-eaten) label of which reads "XYLONITE / Regd. Trade Mark / CLOTH BRUSH / 6294 SH[ELL] / MADE IN E[NGLAND]".  The box, which measures approximately 18.2 x 5.5 x 4.6cm (7.15 x 2.15 x 1.8in), is discoloured with brown patches to the lid and various other marks; the brush itself, which is marked "MADE IN ENGLAND", is in very good condition apart from a few slight scratches and scuffs to the back.
