Imitation tortoiseshell celluloid dressing table clock (timepiece), c.1920s

A small c.1920s dressing table clock (strictly speaking, it should be called a timepiece as it does not strike), in an imitation tortoiseshell celluloid case stamped "MADE IN ENGLAND" to the underside, measuring approximately 12.8 x 8.4 x 4cm (maximum, excluding winding key).  The mechanism has no visible identifying markings; the clock runs for about 27-28 hours, although it gains several minutes in that time, and the handle at the back for adjusting the speed appears to have broken off, although its stump could perhaps be moved with the aid of a needle or other implement.  There is some spotting / tarnish to the metal clock face; the mechanism and face together are prone to turn within the case when the clock is wound, although they can be turned back easily enough.  The case is made in two halves stuck together, although the joint is coming apart in places; there is some scratching and general age wear to the surface.
