"Illustrated" magazine (incorporating "The Passing Show", published by Odhams Press Ltd., London), week ending April 24, 1948; 28pp (mainly black and white, but with the cover and centre page spread in colour), measuring approximately 26 x 30.2cm (10.25 x 11.9in).  This edition of the general interest pictorial magazine focuses on the Silver Wedding of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth (later the Queen Mother) on 28 April 1948, with an article by H. V. Morton; there are also items on the Great Crested Grebe, the actor and theatrical producer Sir Ralph Richardson (including rehearsal photos for the comedy "Royal Circle"), Blackpool fans travelling to Wembley for the F.A. Cup Final, a new-born lamb, and the Cambridge Union, plus numerous advertisements for household goods etc.  The magazine has been folded vertically down the centre, and there is some rust to the staples with slight rust staining to the adjacent paper; the cover is discoloured, marked and creased with some edge tears, bumping to edges and corners, and general wear, whilst the pages are discoloured with some marks, occasional edge tears and general wear.
