"Ideal" nickel-plated flat iron shield in original box, c.1920s

An "Ideal" nickel-plated iron shield with toe cap, c.1920s, intended for use with pre-electric flat (or sad) irons up to size 7.  It retains its original box, although this is somewhat scruffy, dirty and torn.  The shield itself, however, is in good condition apart from a few rust patches - indeed, it may never have been used!
