A c.1950s vintage Hornsea pottery Fauna Royal bud vase, in the shape of a log with a fawn (baby deer) in front; the word "Faoni" is impressed or incised on the back, whilst the base is marked with the black printed Hornsea rebus stamp with the words "FAUNA ROYAL", together with the impressed number "10". The vase measures approximately 13.2cm (5.2in) in length at the base and 5.5cm (2.15in) in depth at the centre of the base, whilst the fawn is approximately 5cm (1.95in) tall. It is in very good condition apart from a few short cracks in the glaze, some age marking to the foot and a few minor manufacturing irregularities.
