A Hornsea "December" mug (from a series depicting the months), measuring approximately 7.8cm in height and 8.1cm in diameter (excluding handle), in matt grey-brown glaze with a white, grey and purple glazed design depicting a young couple riding a cartoon-like reindeer (with oversized antlers!) together with fir trees; the interior is finished in shiny white glaze, and the base is marked in white "LANCASTER VITRAMIC / 1977 / HORNSEA ENGLAND". There are some very narrow gaps or cracks around the join between the body and the handle; although the handle still seems to be firmly attached, this mug is therefore sold as an ornament and not for actual use. Otherwise, apart from some slight marking, it is in good condition.
