"History of the House of Austria, from the Accession of Francis I. to the Revolution of 1848. In continuation of the History written by Archdeacon Coxe. To which is added Genesis; or, Details of the late Austrian Revolution. By an Officer of State. Translated from the German" (London, Henry G. Bohn, 1853). Hardcover, approximately 600pp, measuring approximately 12 x 18.8 x 4.3cm (4.7 x 7.4 x 1.7in); this is the fourth in a set of four volumes, published as part of Bohn's Standard Library. This copy is ex-City of York Library, and accordingly has a York bookplate of pleasing engraved design (depicting the four main Bars of the City walls), library stamps and numbering (including white painted numbering to the spine), as well as the label of an earlier owner inside the front cover. There is some general age wear to the cover including bumping, slight indentations, creasing to the outer surface, slight marking, fading to the spine and some splitting to the spine edges; the pages are discoloured, some with slight to moderate foxing, and the page edges are somewhat roughly hand-cut.
