Title page missing; no dustjacket; the cover is marked and discoloured with considerable wear (especially to the spine, edges and corners), and there is considerable browning and marking to the inside covers and endpapers, with creasing and slight tearing to the latter; the pages are discoloured with numerous marks, together with wear to the edges and corners, some creases and general reading wear, whilst there is an indentation to the contents page where an old pencil price has been (incompletely) rubbed out; there is some weakness to the binding, and some pages have rust marks adjacent to the spine, presumably caused by hidden staples.
