Halex green and orange celluloid powder bowl, c.1930s

A c.1930s Halex powder bowl, made of sandwiched sheet celluloid in lime green imitation mother of pearl (the middle layer of the sandwich being transparent orange, as is the lid knob), and measuring approximately 4cm (1.55in) tall excluding the lid and 9.9cm (3.9in) wide at the opening; the base is stamped "HALEX / MADE IN ENGLAND".  There is some discoloration / yellowing to the plastic (the underside is less discoloured than the exposed surfaces), together with some small marks, scratches and general age wear.
