H. & T. Kirby & Co. Ltd. "Mentholated Bronchial Lozenges" tin, c.1930s

A c.1930s vintage "Mentholated Bronchial Lozenges" tin (empty) with hinged lid, by H. & T. Kirby & Co. Ltd., Manufacturing Chemists, Willesden Green, London,  with printed outside lid and gilt finish to the remainder of the exterior, measuring approximately 5.7 x 8.2 x 2cm (2.25 x 3.25 x 0.8in).  There is considerable age wear including fading, discoloration, marking, scratching, rust spotting and print loss to the outside lid, wear and tarnish with loss to the gilt finish and rust patches to the remainder of the exterior, and considerable tarnish together with some wear, numerous rust spots and some rust patches to the interior; the lid edges are slightly pushed out of shape in places.
