Grimwades "Myrtle" blue and white tureen / vegetable dish with lid, c.1910-40

A Grimwades "Myrtle" oval pottery tureen or vegetable dish with lid, dating from the early part of the last century (c.1910-40).  The tureen, which is finished in white glaze with a dark blue transfer pattern of swags and small flowers, with an ornamental moulded handle to the lid and plainer handles at each end, measures approximately 32 x 19 x 7.5cm / 12.6 x 7.5 x 2.95in (max, including handles but excluding lid); the base of the tureen bears a blue printed globe mark with the words ""MYRTLE" / GRIMWADES / STOKE ON TRENT / ENGLAND" together with the impressed word "LEAF" and a small green printed letter "A" (which also appears on the inside lid).  Both tureen and lid are crazed to most of the surface, with age wear including much scratching and slight marking, whilst the tureen has three nibbles / tiny chips to the rim; there are some imperfections in the decoration including blurring in places, together with other manufacturing imperfections including occasional rough patches to edges, and occasional pinholes and tiny bumps plus some spot and other marks in the glaze.
