A Green Shield Stamps saver book, c.1970, measuring approximately 15.2 x 10.2cm (6 x 4in), and containing 32 pages (plus cover); 23 pages are filled or nearly filled with small Green Shield stamps, and there are also eleven large Green Shield stamps (each of which were worth ten small stamps) loose inside the book. On the unfilled pages can be seen advertisements for Green Shield stamps and gift services, an advertisement for Rothmans Cambridge cigarettes, and an announcement that "DECIMALISATION makes no difference to Green Shield". The cover has some discoloration, slight marking, some creasing and bumping to the edges; the pages, which are of low-grade paper, have yellowed considerably. The attached stamps are mostly in good condition, although a few have come loose, and a few others have been attached with sticky tape which has yellowed; five of the large loose stamps are rather tatty and the rest slightly worn.
