A W. H. Goss crested china model of an ancient oil lamp with "Boscastle" crest, measuring approximately 5cm (1.95in) tall at the handle and 8.8cm (3.45in) in length; the base bears the black printed Goshawk mark with the description "MODEL OF ANCIENT LAMP / IN MUSEUM AT CAERLEON / (CITY OF LEGIONS, KING ARTHUR'S CAPITAL)", together with a painted mark and an old price in pencil. There is slight fading / discoloration to the crest, together with a few tiny scratches to the glaze and some age marking to the base; there are various manufacturing imperfections including spot marks and pinholes in the glaze.
