Geoffrey Trease, "Enjoying Books" (from the 'Excursions' Series; London, Phoenix House, first published 1951, reprinted 1959). Hardback, 160pp (plus 17 illustrations), measuring approximately 13 x 19 x 2.5cm (5.1 x 7.5 x 1in). A young person's guide to the appreciation of literature. This is an ex-library copy; the dustjacket is in good condition overall, but with slight bumping to the edges, slight marking, and some fading to the spine, which has a rectangular hole cut into it near the bottom to show the library number written in white upon the spine of the cover. The cover is in very good condition apart from very slight bumping to the edges and the library number already mentioned. The front flyleaf has been torn out, and much of the surface of the inside front cover has been torn away with it; the interior of the book is otherwise very good apart from moderate tanning and occasional slight marking to the pages.
