A beautiful late Victorian or early 20th century frosted glass lampshade / light shade for a gas or early electric ceiling or wall light, with frilled lower edge and rippled pattern (lightly moulded to the interior), measuring approximately 13.5cm (5.3in) in height, 15.4cm (6.05in) across at the base and about 8.6cm (3.4in) across near the top. The lampholder hole is of standard size (approximately 2.9cm / 1.15in in diameter), and thus the shade will fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder. There is some chipping and bruising around the lampholder hole, together with slight marking and scratching / scuffing to the surface; the glass contains various irregularities including a few small air bubbles.
