A French booklet entitled "Petit Recueil de Patisserie Menagere" (which in English means something along the lines of "a little compendium of confectionery equipment"), which appears to date from c.1900-20. The booklet, which contains 20 pages (plus covers) and measures approximately 13.2 x 21cm (5.2 x 8.25in), was evidently produced by a French manufacturer of jelly moulds, cake moulds and other kitchen utensils, and depicts various items from their range, each accompanied by a recipe (in French). The manufacturer concerned is not named, but merely represented by a trade mark of a grotesque fish or sea monster; there is, however, a retailer's stamp on the front cover (Aug. Sneyers Lafosse, Saint-Trond). The pages are very much browned with age (as is the cover to a lesser extent), and there is general age wear including marking to the cover, slight creasing and rust to the staples. Even so, this booklet would of course be of great interest to a collector of jelly moulds and other kitchenalia.
