An original late 19th or early 20th century sepia print of Plymouth Pier from the Hoe, in a modern gilt frame with grey bevelled card mount and hanging cord; the frame measures approximately 22.3 x 17.8 x 1.4cm (8.8 x 7 x 0.55in), the visible area of the print 13.2 x 8.8cm (5.2 x 3.45in). The scene shows the Promenade Pier, which was opened in 1884 (the pavilion being added in 1891) and destroyed in the Blitz in 1941. There is some discoloration and foxing to the print; there is slight surface wear to the frame including some scratches and slight chipping to the corners, together with some surface darkening which may or may not be part of the original finish, and there is slight scratching / abrasion to the glass.
