An antique engraving of "Lanhydrock House, / (near Bodmin.) / The Seat of the Honble. Mrs. Agar. / Cornwall", "Engraved by J. Greig, from a Drawing by F.W.L.Stockdale for the Excursions through Cornwall. Pubd. July 1. 1822 by Simpkin & Marshall, Stationers Court, London". The engraving, which appears to have been taken from a copy of Stockdale's topographical work "Excursions in the County of Cornwall" (1824), has been hand-coloured (perhaps in fairly recent times) and mounted in a comparatively modern black and gilt wood frame, which measures approximately 17 x 12 x 1.5cm (6.7 x 4.7 x 0.6in); the backing board includes a pair of metal hoops for a hanging cord. There is considerable foxing and some discoloration to the print, together with some wear to the frame including slight chipping to the corners.
