An attractive Cornish "Foster's Studio Pottery" mug, age unknown (post-1950), measuring approximately 10.2cm (4in) tall and 8cm (3.15in) in diameter at the top, and finished in finely-textured blue glaze with incised vertical wavy lines to the exterior, and off-white shiny glaze to the interior and rim. The original "FOSTER'S STUDIO POTTERY / MADE IN THE WEST COUNTRY" label is still attached to the exterior, whilst there is a black printed "FOSTER'S STUDIO POTTERY CO. / MADE IN CORNWALL" stamp to the base. The rim and interior are crazed throughout, and there is a smallish defect to the glaze at the base of the interior, as well as slight marking to the foot; the mug is otherwise in good condition.
