Ford & Sons "Oxford" flow blue hexagonal tureen / vegetable dish with lid, c.1900

An "Oxford" flow blue hexagonal tureen or vegetable dish with lid, by Ford & Sons of Burslem, c.1900.  The tureen, which is decorated with an Arts and Crafts-inspired deep blue transfer pattern incorporating stylised flowers and scrolls, with ornamental moulded handles to each end and to the lid, measures approximately 30 x 19.4 x 8.2cm / 11.8 x 7.65 x 3.25in (max, including handles but excluding lid); the base of the tureen bears a blue transfer printed mark with the words "F & SONS / OXFORD / BURSLEM" together with a small letter "K" in a different shade of blue and an incised number "29".  There is some age wear including scratching, scuffing and marking to the surface, together with one short glaze crack near the inside rim of the tureen; there are various manufacturing imperfections to the moulding, glaze and decoration.
