Five late Victorian or early 20th century portrait photographs, as follows: two of individual ladies mounted on card, one by Waren, Newquay (sepia, much faded, spotted and worn, with some marks and light scratching), one by John H. Coath, Liskeard and St Austell (black and white, creased with considerable surface wear and damage, discoloration and marking); one showing three girls, in the form of a postcard by The Novelty Studio, 184 Union Street, Plymouth (some grey / black marks, bumping to edges, slight curling and general age wear); two on ordinary glossy photographic paper, one showing a young lady in a chair, the other showing a bowler-hatted man and a young child, with the words "Newquay 300" at the top (faded, with some marks, wear and curling). None of the individuals shown are named; however, they were found amongst papers relating to a Newquay family, whose members included Miss P. Daniels (of the Sailor's Arms), Martin Sandberg (a merchant seaman), his daughter Roma Sandberg, and a Mrs Jane Pollard, and thus the individuals depicted may include some or all of the above. (To give an idea of size, the Coath card measures approximately 10.9 x 16.5cm / 4.3 x 6.5in.)
