EPNS (electroplated nickel silver) salver, early 20th century

 

An early 20th century electroplated nickel silver (EPNS) salver, hexagonal in form but with curved and scalloped moulded edges, and measuring approximately 25.7cm (10.1in) across and 2.1cm (0.85in) in depth.  The salver is marked to the base with the letters "E P N S" within small squares, a club with three stars inside plus another smaller mark, and the number 35308.  There are numerous fine scratches plus some deeper scratches to the surface, together with various small marks and age wear to the foot.
