"The Devonshire Association for the Advancement of Science, Literature and Art. Parochial Histories of Devonshire No.1: Okehampton", compiled by Dr. Edward H. Young, c.1931 (the list of Okehapton mayors given within goes up to 1930). This rare paperback publication, which measures approximately 15.7 x 24.5cm (6.2 x 9.65in), consists of 81 pages plus black and white photographic illustrations and two fold-out maps, one of Okehampton Castle, the other a large detailed map of the district (not shown). Please note that this is in poor condition: the cover is detached, tatty, torn and discoloured, whilst there are some marks, together with creasing, slight yellowing and general age wear to the pages, and both maps are torn, marked and worn along the folds. In addition to the main booklet are included a map and brief history of Okehampton Castle printed on card, dated 1914 by the artist (torn, marked, creased and discoloured) and a cutting relating to Okehampton and its industry from the Western Morning News, June 15, 1967 (somewhat yellowed; not shown).
