An appealing carnival glass bowl by Dugan (later Diamond), c.1910-31, in the "Holly and Berry" pattern (also known as "Dugan's Holly") with ruffled edges, in deep amethyst with a good degree of iridescence, measuring approximately 19.8cm (7.8in) across and 6.1cm (2.4in) in height. There is some age wear including patches of abrasion / scuffing to the raised areas of the upper interior and to the rim, some scratches (especially to the exterior), and moderate wear to the foot; there are some manufacturing imperfections including lines / straw marks in the glass and a few small protruding lumps of glass to the exterior adjoining one of the twin moulding seam lines.
