Douglas Botting (illustrated by Michael Jackson), "Shadow in the Clouds: The Story of Airships" (Puffin "Explorer" series, no. 16: Harmondsworth, Penguin Books Ltd, 1975; ISBN 0 14 061.016 2).  Softcover (colour pictorial thin card covers), 48pp, measuring approximately 14.8 x 20.9 x 0.4cm (5.85 x 8.25 x 0.15in).  "In 1898 the first true airship appeared briefly in the skies of Paris.  Forty years and millions of miles later, the exciting and romantic story of the giant, luxurious passenger carrying airships came to an end.  Have they gone forever or are we about to start out on a new airship age?"  No dustjacket; this is an ex-library copy with some light creasing, indentations, edge wear and slight bumping to the corners of the cover, a scuffed area to the inside front cover (affecting three words of the text, although they can still be read), a library stamp to the inside back cover, and slight yellowing to the pages with some foxing / marks together with slight bumping to the corners.
