Denby Stoneware "Burlington" plant / flower pot with three coloured bands, c.1950s-60s

A design classic typical of its era, this Denby Stoneware "Burlington" plant / flower pot is finished in matt white glaze (graduating downwards to stone colour internally), with lilac, green and light brown horizontal bands and black and white trim.  Dating from the mid- to late 1950s or early 1960s, it measures approximately 11cm (4.35in) in height, 12.9cm (5.1in) in diameter at the top and 8cm (3.15in) in diameter at the base.  There are some minor manufacturing irregularities, marks to the interior and the base of the exterior, and slight marks to the external sides and rim, but the pot is in very good condition overall, and would look great in a retro-style or contemporary decorative scheme!
