Denby Stoneware "Burlington" black and white plant / flower pot, c.1950s-60s

A design classic typical of its era, this Denby Stoneware "Burlington" plant / flower pot is finished in matt black glaze with white trim and interior, graduating downwards to stone colour at the base.  Dating from the mid- to late 1950s or early 1960s, it measures approximately 10.5cm (4.15in) in height, 12.6cm (4.95in) in diameter at the top and 8.3cm (3.25in) in diameter at the base.  There are some minor manufacturing irregularities, marks and light staining to the interior, and slight marks to the external sides and rim, but the pot is in very good condition overall, and would look great in a retro-style or contemporary decorative scheme!
