Davidson "Chevron" Art Deco green pressed glass vase (pattern 295), c.1938-1960s

A vintage Art Deco "Chevron" green pressed glass vase by Davidson of Gateshead (pattern 295), designed by W. J. G. Fullerton in 1938 and produced until the 1960s; this example is of the third largest of four sizes, measuring approximately 16.7cm (6.55in) tall, 8.3cm (3.25in) across at the top (max), and 6.3cm (2.5in) in internal diameter at the top.  There is a small chip (approximately 0.6 x 0.4cm / 0.25 x 0.15in) to the inside rim, together with some small chips and nibbles to the edges and corners (especially the base), whilst there is some age wear including scratches and spots of abrasion to the surface, wear to the foot and clouding to the interior in places; there are numerous manufacturing irregularities including roughness around the base edge, uneveness to the surface, and various straw / line marks and air bubbles in the glass.
