Davidson "Chevron" Art Deco blue pressed glass vase (pattern 295), c.1938-1960s

A vintage Art Deco "Chevron" blue pressed glass vase by Davidson of Gateshead (pattern 295), designed by W. J. G. Fullerton in 1938 and produced until the 1960s; this example is of the third largest of four sizes, measuring approximately 16.4cm (6.45in) tall, 8.4cm (3.3in) across at the top (max), and 6.2cm (2.45in) in internal diameter at the top.  There is a small cluster of fleabites just below the outer rim together with some nibbles to the base corners, whilst there is some age wear including scratches and scuffs to the surface and some scratching and abrasion to the foot; there are numerous manufacturing irregularities including roughness around the base edge, uneveness to the surface, and various straw / line marks and air bubbles in the glass.
