Original 24-page broadsheet UK newspaper, measuring approximately 41 x 60cm (16.15 x 23.6in), with headline article concerning the sale of 35 paintings belonging to Somerset Maugham (including a Picasso sold for £80,000) plus numerous other articles, features, advertisements, cartoons etc. The paper, although complete, is very much browned and worn with age with some crumpled / crinkled pages, ragged edges and various tears (two pages have been torn all the way down), some of which have been repaired with sticky tape which has aged and yellowed; although there is some paper loss to the edges, the print remains intact throughout except for a few small areas.
