A commemorative enamel ware mug, produced to mark the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra on June 26, 1902, measuring approximately 7.2cm (2.85in) in height and 7.5cm (2.95in) in diameter at the top (excluding handle), in white enamelled metal with a large colour transfer featuring twin portraits of the King and Queen together with gilt trim; there is a large incised "X" to the base. There is some chipping and cracking to the enamel around the rim and handle edges together with cracks around part of the internal circumference of the base, whilst there is some general wear including scratching, abrasion and marking to the surface together with wear and fading to the decoration; there are some manufacturing imperfections to the transfer (including a small piece missing from the top left corner), whilst there is some unevenness to the enamelled finish.
