A commemorative china "Peace" mug, produced to commemorate the end of "The Great World War" on 28th June 1919 (the date upon which the Treaty of Versailles was signed), measuring approximately 9cm (3.55in) in height and 8.4cm (3.3in) in diameter at the base, in white with a large colour transfer incorporating the French, Italian, US and British flags, dove and globe to one side and a small colour transfer representing "Peace and Justice" to the other, together with gilt trim; there are no identifying marks. There is a small chip to the rim above the right of the main transfer, together with crazing in various places (the external base is crazed throughout), age wear including scratches, slight scuffs and wear to the gilt and transfers, and slight marking to the foot; there are some manufacturing imperfections including marks and pinholes in the glaze.
