A c.1920s-30s tin of Columbia "Duragold" semi-permanent gramophone needles, plus a c.1940s-50s Columbia "99" card wallet. The tin, which measures approximately 4 x 3.4 x 0.9cm (1.55 x 1.35 x 0.35in), originally held 100 needles, and still contains about thirty within the original black paper wrapper, although they are somewhat rusty, and the tin itself is tarnished and corroded with rust patches to the interior. The wallet, which measures approximately 5.7 x 3.5cm (2.25 x 1.4in), originally contained ten needles, and still holds five, of which at least two have some rust; the wallet itself is creased and bumped, and has had advice upon the use of the needles written upon it and subsequently crossed out (some of the original printing has been crossed out too); it is therefore possible that the needles may not be the originals.
