Clear glass pendant lampshade, part-textured with painted and gilt banding, c.1940s

A vintage glass pendant lampshade of typically 1940s style, measuring approximately 12cm (4.7in) in height and 10.7cm (4.2in) in diameter at the base, in clear glass, externally textured to the top and bottom with a wide central yellow painted band and gilt bands.   The lampholder hole is of standard size (approximately 2.9cm / 1.15in in diameter), and thus the shade will fit a standard UK plastic pendant lampholder.  The gilding is very worn, and there is some wear to the painted band; there is a large off-white paint stain to the lower textured section plus various smaller paint and other marks, together with occasional light scratches to the glass.  There is some roughness together with a small chip and a few fleabites to the bottom edge, whilst there is the usual roughness to the lampholder hole (not visible when the shade is hung); the glass contains numerous tiny air bubbles and other minor irregularities.
