Ceramic pin dish or coaster with portrait of the Prince of Wales (later Edward VIII), c.1920s

A round ceramic pin dish or coaster, dating most probably from the 1920s, measuring approximately 9.9cm (3.9in) in diameter and 1.2cm (0.45in) deep, in white glaze with gilt rim and a sepia transfer-printed portrait of "H.R.H. THE PRINCE OF WALES" (the future King Edward VIII) in military uniform (the words "SPORT & GENERAL" appear in tiny print above the word "Wales"); there are no maker's marks although there is what appears to be a small grey-black painted mark to the base.  The underside and rim are somewhat rough in finish, whilst there are some imperfections to the finish of the upper surface including tiny spot marks and tiny bumps in the glaze; there is some age wear including scratching to the surface, wear / imperfections to the transfer and wear to the gilt.
