A c.1930s biscuit tin (empty) with a double-thick hinged lid, measuring approximately 21 x 14.8 x 6.1cm (8.25 x 5.85 x 2.4in), printed to resemble a wooden-sided casket with a colourful "tapestry" lid depicting trees and flowers with a blue parrot (or suchlike bird) and a deer; the rear edge of the lid is printed "6 MB CONTAINER MADE IN ENGLAND". There is considerable rust spotting to the lid, together with some scratching, fading and general wear, whilst the sides are somewhat faded with slight wear, scratching, slight rust and a small patch of blue paint. The gilt-finished base has some tarnish, scratching and rust patches, and the gilt-finished interior is much tarnished with some rust spots and patches, whilst there are some indentations to the base around the edges; the lid appears to be pushed slightly out of alignment with the tin itself when open, but holds firmly shut.
