Carlton Ware "Rouge Royale" coffee pot (for restoration), c.1950s

A c.1950s vintage Carlton Ware "Rouge Royale" coffee pot of late Art Deco shape, measuring approximately 19 x 18.5 x 9cm (7.5 x 7.3 x 3.55in) maximum including lid, handle and spout; the base bears the black printed Carlton Ware script mark and "Rouge Royale" mark together with an indistinct impressed number (probably 1582).   This example requires restoration, as there is a large chip (approximately 1.5 x 0.4cm / 0.6 x 0.15in) to the base edge, together with some age wear including scratching and abrasion to the surface; there is some crazing together with some small bumps in the glaze, and there are some light patches to the handle.
