A c.1930s card wallet of "Glista" lisle hose mending thread, measuring approximately 7.4 x 11.4cm (2.9 x 4.5in), and containing four triple cards of twelve "fashionable" shades of thread. The outside of the wallet, one side of which is printed in a distinctly Art Deco design, is discoloured with slight wear and creasing and a very slight tear at one end of the slot for the closing tab. The thread cards within, however, are in very good condition, as is the thread itself, of which little or none appears to have been used.
