Burgess "Genuine Indian Curry Powder" bottle with contents, c.1940s

A bottle of "Genuine Indian Curry Powder" by John Burgess & Son, Ltd., Hythe Road, Willesden Junction, London N.W.10, measuring approximately 13.3 x 3 x 3cm (5.25 x 1.2 x 1.2in), and complete with all (or nearly all) of the original contents.  The small plain perforated label suggests, although it does not prove, that the bottle dates from the Second World War.  The label shows considerable discoloration together with some creasing and other minor age wear, whilst there are some rust spots to the metal cap.
