Bruno Frost, "Brave Brian" (London and Glasgow, Collins, undated but appears to be late 1940s or 1950s). Children's picture story book with board covers (with red cloth spine) and original matching dustwrapper, 36pp (unpaginated), measuring approximately 24.4 x 22.1 x 0.9cm (9.6 x 8.7 x 0.35in). A children's story, told in verse with colour illustrations of distinctive style, in which the young hero, whilst lost in the forest, is befriended by the various woodland creatures, and eventually restored to his home and family by the clever Fox. The dustjacket is discoloured with some marks including scribbling in crayon (?) to the front, together with age wear including scuffs and indentations to the surface and bumping, creasing, tears and slight loss to the edges; there is some wear to the board covers including edge wear, some small indentations, and a small hole in the cloth of the spine, together with fading / discoloration to the spine and the upper front edge; the pages are discoloured with some marks, occasional creases, and light to moderate reading wear.
