A vintage mottled dark brown Bakelite table lamp (without shade), c.1950, measuring approximately 23.6cm (9.3in) in height and 12.7cm (5in) in diameter at the base. The lamp has been newly rewired, with new flex (approximately 2.8m / 9.2ft long), push switch and UK plug, although the original brown Bakelite BC lamp holder has been retained and is still in good condition. There is a hairline crack (about 2cm / 0.8in long) to the base edge, together with some surface dullness (especially near the top), slight scratching and marking, and moderate age wear to the surface throughout; there is some rust / corrosion and marking to the metal base plate.
Please note that, since this is a vintage lamp, it may not conform to current regulations, and it is therefore sold as a decorative item only. We therefore recommend that this lamp is tested by a qualified electrician prior to use.
