Brown Bakelite case for a Gillette razor, c.1930s (SOLD)

A c.1930s case for a Gillette razor (the razor itself is not included), in brown mottled Bakelite, with hinged lid, measuring approximately 9.6 x 4.5 x 2cm (3.8 x 1.75 x 0.8in).  The interior is moulded into compartments to hold the different parts of the razor; the Gillette trade mark and the words "MADE IN ENGLAND" appear in relief to the inside of the lid.  The case is in very good condition apart from a few light scratches and small white marks, and very slight cracking near one of the hinges (not affecting its integrity); there are various small manufacturing irregularities including slight roughness to edges and a slight texture to parts of the shiny and otherwise smooth surface.
