An Art Deco jar of Bronnley's Lemon Day Cream, c.1920s-30s, in greenish-yellow frosted glass with a black Bakelite (or other early plastic) screw lid. The jar, which measures approximately 7.7 x 5.5 x 6.7cm (3.05 x 2.15 x 2.65in) including lid, retains its original labels, including a Young's of Leicester price label to the base, together with the majority of the original contents, which have solidified but which retain some scent; there are traces of an old foil or silver paper seal around the edge of the opening and on top of the contents. There is slight to moderate wear and marking to the labels, including a large ink mark to the back label; there are also a few very tiny nibbles or fleabites to some corners and edges of the jar itself, together with slight roughness to the lid edge (almost certainly dating from manufacture).
