A recipe booklet or magazine entitled "Christmas Fare", published by The British Commercial Gas Association, Gas Industry House, 1 Grosvenor Place, London, S.W.1, October 1937 (No. 284, Vol. XXV). The 16-page publication, which measures approximately 21.9 x 27.6cm, contains various Christmas recipes and hints, with several black and white photographic illustrations. The front cover, with colour photograph of a pretty girl holding a Christmas pudding in a kitchen with gas cooker in the background, has been stamped "WITH THE COMPLIMENTS OF / ST. AUSTELL GAS CO. LTD." to the top right. There is some age wear, creasing and marking, together with very slight discoloration; one of the staples has completely rusted away and the other is very rusty, so that the pages are somewhat loosely held together.
