"British Birds: Their Care & Management" (Hardbills and Softbills including Finches) (Ditchfield's Little Wonder Book No. 21) (Leyland, Lancs., Ditchfield's British Books Ltd., n.d., c.1950).  Booklet (paper covers), 32pp, measuring approximately 10.5 x 13.4cm (4.15 x 5.3in).  "In view of the ever increasing popularity of our own native birds, this little work is offered in the hope that it may be found interesting and helpful to those who are just starting out in this delightful hobby."  There is considerable wear to the cover including surface damage / tearing to the back, small patches of surface damage to the front, wear and slight nibbling to the edges and corners and slight splitting to the fold, together with considerable discoloration and marking including a ring mark and other damp marks to the front; the pages are slightly discoloured with tanning to edges, some marks and slight edge and corner wear, whilst the staples are somewhat rusty.
