Box of twelve Price's Christmas Tree Candles, with contents, c.1950s

A c.1950s box of twelve Price's Christmas Tree Candles, by Price's Patent Candle Company Limited, still containing all twelve original twisted candles in various colours, each measuring approximately 10.4cm (4.1in) in length and 1cm (0.4in) in diameter; although none have been used, at least two are cracked, and some are somewhat dirty and dusty.  The box, which measures approximately 10.8 x 4.4 x 3.1cm (4.25 x 1.75 x 1.2in), is considerably marked with creasing, tearing and general age wear, and an old rubbed-out price is still partly visible.
