A box of "British Flag Christmas Candles", probably dating from between 1915 and 1925, proudly claiming to have been "manufactured by British labour & capital throughout" and "made in England". The box, which measures approximately 11.5 x 5.2 x 1cm, still contains four of the original candles (there may have originally been five or six), each measuring approximately 9.5cm in length excluding wick; although they have not been lit, they have become somewhat misshapen, stuck together and otherwise altered in appearance by heat and age. The box itself, however, is in good condition for its age, with only slight marking and creasing and slight tearing along one edge.
