A card wallet for a Book Token, c.1950s, measuring approximately 10 x 14cm (3.95 x 5.5in) when closed, with a monochrome image of an appropriately literary painting to the front with the slogan "The gift is mine - The choice is thine", and retaining the original matching bookplate inside, together with a card wallet for a Boots the Chemists gift voucher, c.1950s-60s, measuring approximately 12.8 x 10.3cm (5.05 x 4.05in) when closed, with a colour Victorian-style illustration to the front showing a postman on a penny-farthing. The Book Token wallet has the names of the original donors written inside, whilst the Boots wallet bears a brief greeting; both wallets have a perforation down one side where the token or voucher would have been attached. The Book Token wallet has some discoloration together with some marking (mostly to the back), slight bumping and age wear; the Boots wallet is in similar condition but with more pronounced bumping to two of the corners.
